Considering Google is catching up with their latest Gemini models, it would be great to be able to use or at least have the option to choose Gemini in Assistant.

when assistant is struggling…My current workflow is: 1. download files. 2. upload files and error messages to gemini advanced. 3. either pasting gemini response into assistant, or just pasting code directly into file. It’s a lot of work. it will be nice when they announce access to gemini 2.5 pro with assistant.
It’s silly that we don’t have more options in Assistant, including GPT4.1, so that we can bounce back and forth without leaving Replit. Having to copy/paste/download/upload files constantly to get things fixed is wholly inefficient, yet it’s the workflow all of us power users rely on to actually make progress.
