I use a lot the basic assistant to get explanation about code, but since the downgrade to GPT-4o mini, i get very disappointing explanations.
Afaik, gemini flash 1.5 is even cheaper.
In general, it would be nice to have a smart model available for explanations too, since i cannot simply ask questions to 3.5 sonnet now, as it as a system prompt which drives it to action only.
