Hi folks! I think this is a bug, but maybe I just need some guidance.
I’ve been asking Replit to create some tasks, which I don’t want to build immediately but want to add to the draft task list so I can come back to them later. However, all I see in the Task Board is suggestions for tasks from Replit, and none of the ones I’ve created (in this case, Task #246). I’ve toggled the “Plans”, “Tasks” and “Created by Me” buttons and still can’t see my tasks. My current workaround is to leave them open as a tab so I can at least remember the task number to prompt building later (don’t know if it will work).
Is there a better/proper way to create a task backlog that I’m not doing correctly?
I’ve had this many a time. I’m on the Pro package (so can have 10 agents running at the same time) and it seems that if you discuss or create a plan within the main agent, but don’t hit “build here” or “build in background” and move onto something else then the task / plan doesn’t go into drafts on the task board. When I’ve queried the agent about it, it tells me that “The task has been proposed (which is the status) on the task board”. It seems that the agent is able to set statuses that aren’t visible / filtered for on the task board. I have had to get the agent to recreate the task as a new task within a new task / chat / sub agent to get it to show.
From what I’ve tested / played around with it seems the right way to do it is leave the main agent for queries and merges, then use the sub agents to create new tasks. That way they always appear in the task board. Hope that helps?
I’m on Pro. Having same issue. Task plans get created but don’t show up anywhere. If you create a plan, don’t build and do another it gets hidden. Agent can find it but that’s poor UX.

I’m also on Pro and have been using Replit for commercial development for a couple of years. The task board is a welcome addition but has quirks. One thing I’ve learned is that if you dismiss any proposed tasks, the agent automatically archives them. I haven’t found a UI to view archived tasks, but the agent can see them and repropose them if you ask it to.
Also, if you start drafting a new task but don’t kick it off and navigate to another task, it seems to disappear, but in actuality, it has been moved it to the task board at the bottom of the “Drafts” board. You can click on it there to resume the task.
Not on the Pro plan here. Unfortunately, I scrolled to the bottom of the Task List Drafts but the only tasks on there are Agent-Proposed.
I love the idea of the Task Board but it feels like an unfinished feature. I hope it gets the love it needs so we can file tasks away and come back to them, rather than just have it stocked with the agent suggestions.
I got frustrated with the new task manager and went back to my Agent 3 methodology. I ask the main agent to create a markdown document with the detailed plan and save it in the local file tree. The agent validates the plan with the architect and then prompts me for my approval at which point I suggest edits or pose questions. The validated plan is easily accessible and readable by me. Once the plan is implemented it remains in the local file tree until I delete it. For me, the advantage of maintaining the document is the ability to reference it later by name if necessary.
Not just you…I find the task board very buggy and similarly have the experience where if I’m firing off a bunch of tasks they often do not show in the task board. Ive started writing down in a separate note the task numbers to follow back up on and the agent can find it when prompted too, but would love for this to be fixed!
