Iād try to make this look a bit friendlier in name.
Unless a card is already in a list, you canāt drag a card to that list, small bug, and probably easy to fix.
I personally donāt like the slide-in from the side effect. Iād rather have it just fade-in from center, but thatās just a personal preference, I suppose.
Overall, insanely clean and straightforward, looks really good! Nicely done. Did you fight with the cards snapping back before resting upon moving, or did it get that in one shot?
Add a home page to tell me what it even is and why I want to sign up. And then offer email signup - some of us do not use Google, x or Facebook for our signup.
hi mate, that ugly url should be gone now. took me 2 hours and i now need to pay supabase for a monthly subscription - hope itās worth it!
i think you need to create the list first before you can drag cards into that list? lmk if iāve got the wrong end of the stick.
thanks for your kind comments. no way it one-shotted it! but it got me 80% of the way there i guess. there were lots of inconsistencies with dragging and dropping; landing the cards in the right position and actually persisting to the DB, making space for the cards, etc.
i added a tagline to the auth screen. does it look OK?
i was also thinking about adding an FAQ, but i guess the app is pretty explanatory.
will add email sign-up to the list.
thanks!
Well you didnāt need to go and pay for it! Just a suggestion is all.
And no, I create a list, and try to drag a card to an empty list but it doesnāt work unless the list Iām dragging to also has a card.
In the future if youāre having snap back effects when dragging items (you drop, it snaps to original spot before resting in new spot) you just need to tell Agent āuse optimistic state when dragging itemsā - usually fixes it right up.
For guides, try this: take a bunch of screenshots of things, name the screenshot file according to what it is, drop the all in agent chat and say āusing these named screenshots and knowledge of how the system actually works, create a friendly, helpful User Guide and link it from the (footer)(nav)(menu)(wherever you want it)ā - done!
hi mate,
haha itās not a problem. it was good practice to do it - and someone else also mentioned the default supabase url looked bad.
here is a video (link will expire in 3 days) where iāve tried to reproduce the bug?
tempvideo
thanks for the tips btw, not sure if i want to have full blown guide or just an accordion with questions and answers.
are you working on anything interesting atm?
I am sure it is once people have signed up. And if you have another website or marketing info that explains what it is before people arrive at tasklanes.app, then all is good. But if not, people do not sign up for things until they understand what they are.
Great feedback, Steve.
so i added some key benefits, a demo image and additional info. what do you think?
cool. much better ![]()
thanks Steve, appreciate your input on this.
Your app looks greatāclean UI, clear value prop, and the onboarding feels smooth. For ~$55 this is very impressive, especially with auth and a polished landing included. Dark theme + clarity messaging works well.
Curious how youāre thinking about next steps (AI features, pricing, or team collaboration). Solid foundation ![]()
Pretty cool app, I like very clean and agnostic organization/workflow apps. I would recommend to make the framework scalable. Such as getting into more complex tasks and workflow management, you might have sub-checklists within checklists and being able to dig further and further into a hierarchy will allow users to define their paradigm while allowing your app to be the chassis of their management.
thanks mate, glad you like the app!
in terms of AI, i have added 3 integrations thus far; auto-population on board creation, addition of sub-tasks and board insights. i have yet to update the YT demo on the website but the current one shows the latter 2 in action.
in terms of pricing, i am trying to hide at the moment. there is a limit of 5 boards that can be created, after which the user is prompted to upgrade for £29.99 (single payment).
not thought about team collaboration yet tbh.
thanks for your kind comments.
you can already add (multiple) checklists to cards atm, trying to keep things simple. ![]()
It would be great if we had an option to reorder the boards. Anyway, the project looks cool. Congrats on the launch.
hi mate, iāve added functionality to drag & drop boards. can you please try it out and see whether it looks OK?
thanks!
Sure let me check
say, would you be willing to provide a testimonial for the site?
