The current Task Board works well for active tasks, but it lacks a simple way to capture rough ideas or future work without turning them into active agent-driven tasks.
Problem
Sometimes I just want to quickly note:
-
future ideas
-
bugs to revisit later
-
improvements to explore
-
reminders
Right now:
-
these clutter the active board, or
-
I have to store them elsewhere
Proposed solution
Add a lightweight backlog / idea lane to the far left of the board (before Drafts).
Expected behavior
-
Quick add a plain text line (fast capture)
-
No automatic AI parsing / breakdown / agent workflow
-
No auto-status changes
-
No notifications or active execution
-
Can later be:
-
dragged into Drafts / Active manually
-
converted into a real task when needed
-
Why this matters
This would make Task Board useful both for:
-
execution (current workflow)
-
lightweight planning / idea capture
It would reduce friction and keep everything in one place instead of splitting notes across tools.
UX note
This should feel closer to a simple backlog note list than a full task workflow.
The key value is low friction and no AI interference until I choose it.
