Tasks stuck after validation passes – Unable to mark completed / "Apply to Main Version" never appears

I’m running into an issue with Replit Tasks where a task successfully passes validation but never transitions to Completed.

Instead, the task appears to remain in a state where it’s waiting for a response from me, even though no additional input is requested. Because of this, the “Apply to Main Version” button never appears, leaving the task effectively stuck.

At the moment I have four tasks in this state.

I’ve already contacted Replit Support, and the issue has been escalated, but I haven’t received a resolution yet. Since this is blocking development, I’m trying to determine whether this is an isolated issue or something others have experienced.

Has anyone else run into this?

  • Were you able to resolve it?
  • Is there a workaround to force the task to complete?
  • Is this a known issue with Tasks?

Any suggestions or feedback would be greatly appreciated.

If anyone from the Replit team happens to see this, I’d also appreciate an update. This issue has completely blocked my workflow, and a timely resolution would be extremely helpful.I’m running into an issue with Replit Tasks where a task successfully passes validation but never transitions to Completed.
