Support Nightmare

I wanted to upgrade my Core account to Teams before it migrated into Pro. This was not as simple as as I would have hoped since I was paying for my Core account as a subscription through my Apple account. I asked Replit Support what to do and I followed their instructions to a T. After paying for the annual Teams account, I discovered that they did not in fact upgrade my Core account to Teams. They created an entirely new Teams account. This created the first of my Support nightmares. I had to transfer all of my apps/projects from the old account to the new one. If any of you have had to do this, you know that it is not as easy as it should be. I had to create a GitHub repository, push the app from my old account to the repository, pull it in from the new account and then transfer the database and secrets separately. And it still didn’t work perfectly. It didn’t transfer images on the site or site assets like logos and passwords. After hours of unnecessary work (They should have either upgraded my original account to Teams correctly in the first place or simply transferred the Teams subscription from the new account to the old one and I would have been done.) I got all of the apps transferred and working. Now comes the biggest part of the nightmare. I purchased a custom domain directly from Replit with my old account and linked it to one of the apps there. Now that the app I am going to be using is in a different account, I need to link the domain to that app in that new account. You’d think that would be easy, right? I disconnected it from the app in the old account via the Domains tab in the Publishing pane. Then I tried to connect it to the app in the new account and got an error message saying “This domain is already linked to “another project”. Please unlink it from that project first.” I DID UNLINK IT! IT’S NOT LINKED TO THE OLD APP! I reported this to Support and they referred me to Second Tier Support. I first reported this issue almost a week ago and it has been crickets since. My site users have been unable to access the site for almost a week and I have no idea how much longer it is going to be. Does anyone have any suggestions for how to get this custom domain linked to the app in my new account? While it is no longer linked to the app in the old account, I can see that it is still linked to the account. When I go to the Connect your own domain link in the Publishing pane, the custom domain is available in the dropdown list. How can I completely unlink it from the entire account and get it added to the app in the new account? More importantly, how can I get better support from Replit? The Teams/Pro plan is supposed to include “Premium support”. Maybe their definition of Premium is Nonexistent.

If it were me, I would look at moving my domain to Cloudflare or another strong provider that gave me options as I scaled, you need to do it through Replit support though… Have you tried messaging them on X via @ReplitSupport? It might get you a faster reply. Put your ticket number and who you have talked too, also include exactly how long you have been waiting. (It hurts their image. So they might be faster.)
