New Replit Workspace forgets panel widths and states

New Replit Workspace (in Windows 10) as of 9th Sep 2025: when an app is closed and re-opened (or a new app opened), the workspace fails to remember panel widths or other panel states (e.g. whether code panel is open/closed). It used to, but your “new workspace” no longer remembers.

May I suggest you setup a working group of real users to assist for your future changes to the workspace and to Replit in general. A group that can offer constructive feedback both before and after you make changes. The UX, in my humble opinion, is going backwards, with various annoyances that have clearly been designed in a closed room of Replit staff, with no input from real users who use your platform on a daily basis.

This! And also the fact that you can’t add more panels! They’re just shoving Agent in your face now & it’s annoying.

annoying whether you use agent or not. Typical of a tech firm to sit in a dark room and redesign the UX without any collab with a core group of real users.

I still haven’t found how to see my files! Not sure how I can see and edit files like my Replit.md file, or testing data etc.

Files are accessed from a little panel icon in the top right corner. The pane opens on the right now. That’s fine, but the persistent extra unwanted Agent panel is quite annoying and needs to be at least able to be turned off by a pref or something.

Found it. Not obvious especially since it is now in such a different location.
