Cloudflare for domains

just gonna put this out there. I was super nervous moving some domains from IONOS to cloudflare since I just know domains are actually slow to move and domain companies have zero incentive to make things easy or efficient and probably get a massive % of their revenue from that uncertainty.

I didn’t realize how lucky I was when moving a domain since I was already on cloudflare for reverse proxy so had name servers setup. And setting up nameservers and switching them several months ago was pretty seamless too. So, moving the domain didn’t even have any issues whatsoever. Once I provided the codes it just changed and was available on cloudflare. It took like 24 hours to get the code but i did this for several properties before doing my main project and was amazed at how seamless it was.

Great to hear how smooth it was. Did Cloudflare require the nameservers to be changed at all, or kept old ones?

No change in the nameservers, that’s probably what made it such an easy move since the important stuff was already setup - and the initial nameserver move was seamless too.
