Big announcement from Lovable... but still playing catchup with Replit

Big announcement from Lovable an hour ago. As far as I can see, all it does is bring them a bit closer to Replit - but seems to me that Replit are still a mile ahead.

Were Lovable really that far behind, without any backend for apps before today!? How sad.

Or have I missed something in what they’ve introduced?

Yes, I’ve just seen that…

I agree that Lovable is miles behind Replit. They have Supabase integration (very easy to set up), but no native backend until now.

What is more interesting is the recently launched new model Claude Sonnet 4.5, which may soon be released in Replit ?

???

Haha Lovable:

We’ve started rolling out Claude Sonnet 4.5 to Lovable users

PS:let’s see how fast it will come to Replit and what price is gonna be.

“Claude Sonnet 4.5 is available everywhere today—on the Claude Developer Platform, natively and in Amazon Bedrock and Google Cloud’s Vertex AI.”

Pricing remains the same as Sonnet 4
