I really like Replit and find it hard to beat, but on September 30 Bolt is launching something very promising: Codex integrated directly into Bolt. So this is something i will try but we will see…
Here’s the thing…none of them work as well as Claude Code.
Man, I’m trying but no UI makes my eyes hurt.
I’ve only tried Lovable, UI comes out great but I haven’t dug deep into building the backend. I fed it my Replit files and the front end built pretty quick. They have some cool features with clicking on elements in the UI instead of having to describe them. Replit has the feature there but I always am told Agent doesn’t know what I’m talking about when I reference a UI element.
I prefer Replit because it goes full stack, but admittedly haven’t gone deep enough into other tools.
I meant in reply to above. No need to choose, as they all pale. It’s why Replit uses Claude exclusively. Always subject to change but it’s king right now.
I started this topic, so I can see the irony of this comment, but here’s the thing…
Every day on the AI dev journey is like 1 year in the old world. What is great and the best today, most likely won’t be tomorrow. But it could be again by next Tuesday. Until it changes yet again 3 days later.
Every platform will have bad days, but you have to work through them. Do not be so naive to think “oh, ABC platform works perfectly, and better than my current platform”. As soon as you jump ship, I can guarantee it will have a bad run before you’ve finished migrating your app over.
Also, please, do not tell yourself “XYZ platform is cheaper”. They all grab your attention with cheap prices. Then when you are hooked, they turn the screws. Don’t keep falling for the oldest trick in the VC-backed startup book.
If you are retired and just vibing with all the great toys out there, then enjoy!
But if you have a current purpose to using AI Dev, then find a platform, and stick with it…
…or not… “have you seen KORG.new that launched yesterday,… it can write 10,000 lines of code every 3 seconds and it is only $0.01 per credit, and…” - see what I mean
Great points ^^^
It’s tough to make an apple to apple comparison. One would need to set out a build side by side. Could be great youtube content lol. Costly too.
But I’m with you.
