Account banned without notice – username: jacobae

Hi Replit team,

My client’s account (username: jacobae) has been banned without any prior notice or email notification.

The account was working normally about 8 hours ago. But now I find it completely banned — even the password reset function returns “You are banned.”

This account hosts a production application for a client, and the website is currently down, causing significant business disruption.

Could someone from the Replit team please review this case and restore access? My client has not violated any terms of service to my knowledge.

My client has also submitted a support ticket via email with full account details.

I hope you’re doing well.

I’m reaching out on behalf of my client regarding a very urgent and distressing issue. A few hours ago, my client’s Replit acc@ordora-dev002unt (@ordora-dev002) appears to have been suddenly banned. When attempting to log in, the message shown is:

“You have been banned from Replit. Please check your email for details.”

Unfortunately, this action has caused immediate and serious consequences. My client’s hosted and published application has gone down, and all of its members/users have lost access. This has completely halted ongoing work and disrupted active users who depend on the app.

This situation is extremely critical. My client relies heavily on Replit for their work, and this unexpected ban has brought everything to a standstill. There has been no clear explanation received yet, and given the sudden nature of this issue, we strongly believe this may be a mistake or technical error.

We sincerely request you to:

- Kindly r@ordora-dev002view the account (@ordora-dev002) as soon as possible

- Investigate whether this ban was applied incorrectly

- Restore the account and associated services urgently so the application can go live again

This is not just a technical inconvenience — it’s affecting real users, ongoing work, and my client’s trust and livelihood. We would be deeply grateful for your immediate attention and swift resolution.

Please help us get everything back to normal as soon as possible.

It is not possible that your client didn’t received any mail. I just used the SRD application status checker and it’s still showing pending, hoping for an update soon.

This thread is why Replit, as a public-facing, company will eventually fail.

Such a shame that their support is such a travesty.

I reckon they’re just holding on until they get bought out and their acqui-exit is complete.

All the signals are there but who knows, right?

Yep. But I literally saw something today about how Anthropic is about to launch full-stack app building capabilities including deployment.

That’s the problem facing a companies like Replit, Lovable, Bolt? Heck even Google has stepped in with Stitch.

I still prefer Replit to all of those but when the agents that you rely on to power your business model can start doing this themselves and cutting you (as a company) out of the equation then the only thing that can keep your customers loyal is your ability to nurture your community.

Something which we know is not a priority for Replit. (Admittedly I don’t look at the forums of other companies in this space)

We shall see how this pivots in the, I’m afraid, not so distant future!

An awful lot of folks have had account bans due to promotion abuse. Word of warning to everyone. If you value your Replit account, don’t abuse the promo credit system with spoof accounts.
