Visual Editor Has Disappeared (EDIT: and reappeared)

UPDATE: It has returned. Thank you to the team member who saw this and got it going again!!!

When using replit on any browser the visual editor fails to load now. (worked fine before (been 2 weeks now) So when you click to edit an element the screen does not expand to show options. i.e. Padding, color, size, fonts, and most importantly save.

I have done all recommended troubleshoots. It is also doing it across multiple projects where it previously worked.

I have cleared cache

tried different browser(s)

updated browser(s)

tried on 4x different systems including one I have never logged into on replit.

Uploaded the code into the shell as recommended on the visual editor page (only tried on one app that was kind of abandoned so i could test and wasn’t worried about if i messed up)

I am getting nowhere with tech support. (AI, I now realize) I believe it to be an issue with the UI on their end. I noticed when the ai options window would not load properly. It was half cut off and now does it on every app and I have to rearrange the panes to get it to display properly. Has anyone else had this issue.

Top screenshot from replit. I used to see this. Bottom one, nothing now.

Yes, I have the same issue. No editor. It has been like that for a while.

Super frustrating. Any luck with support? How are you making do or just manually making edits?

I use agent for the edits instead.

My guess is Replit trialed it and decided it was an odd feature to have on an AI dev platform.

Personally, I sort of believed it was taking users backwards to old drag 'n drop web builder tools of yester-year.

Why offer that when you have a perfectly friendly AI agent you can ask to make the changes for you - at $0.25 per change!!

Right? That’s exactly it. The changes are $0.25 a piece or whatever it ends up working out to of course some of them are more complex.

The problem is is the fine details really end up being complicated. Replacing text can also get frustrating.

I agree with this. But also, have you seen the new theme engine they launched?

Replit is too aggressive about updating things; we get used to a tool, and then they just remove it as if nobody is using the platform.
