Agent says data is stored on EU server and Replit states that they comply with GDPR, but I see on the website that all data is deployed in the US?
Great question here, need clarity on it.
Yes, we’re GDPR compliant, see DPA Data Processing Agreement - Replit
All hosting is done in the US, we had global clusters when users were writing their own code but now because most usage is by Agent and Agent uses AI models hosted in the US, doing hosting outside the US massively increases latency.
If Agent says it’s EU servers that’s a hallucination, see Terms of Service: Terms of Service - Replit
understood, normally with hosting EU data in the US other factors in GDPR are in play but I take it from you that it is in order. Thanks for the reply!
Hi Kody, why don’t you at least allow to store the database in the EU? Since EU customer’s data storage is the important part in terms of compliance. That would help a lot with GDPR compliance for EU businesses while probably won’t matter that much in terms of latency, I guess there are solutions available if there is will to support EU businesses with regulatory hell.
