Hey guys! I need to pop out a project on a very short period of time and really need help!
My group has been piecing together a Figma-Based project for weeks on a Core account and has run out of credits so we switched to a Replit Teams account. We transferred the project but now the system is saying it can’t access the files because it doesn’t have authorization. We checked the MCP and it says Figma is integrated. I even tried disconnecting it and reconnecting and nothing. It is telling me to give it through the design card but it looks clear to me:
I need to get dozens of pages done in the next two days and really need this integration. Could anyone help?
A few things you can try that might solve it quickly:
-
Make sure that the account that is connected through Replit Teams actually has access to the projects/files. If you have ever had Figma Core credentials cached and/or not fully switched over, it may be that Replit is hitting auth issues with it.
-
Note that this often resolves itself by simply reauthorizing Figma within your MCP in Replit Teams. Do so in a private/incognito browser window to clear out old cookies or cached permissions.
-
Make sure the “design card” it refers to is actually the one corresponding to the team/project you’re working on; sometimes older cards appear, and that gets confusing.
If you see an “authorize” button near the Figma integration, click that and grant access specifically for your new team or workspace—sometimes global integrations don’t carry over to each sub-team.
-
If all else fails, consider importing your Figma files as .svg/.png temporarily to get them usable and unblock your workflow, especially if you’re on a time crunch.
