New builder here Introducing himself!

Hey everyone, I’m Marcus. I’ve been teaching myself development over the last couple of years while balancing work, school, and independent projects. I’m still learning a lot, especially around AI-assisted workflows, deployment strategy, prompt discipline, and cost management, but I’ve finally reached the point where things are starting to click together.

Lately I’ve been building client-facing web apps and experimenting heavily with AI-assisted development workflows using tools like GitHub, local environments, cloud hosting platforms, and coding agents. One of the biggest things I’m learning right now is that workflow discipline matters just as much as coding itself — things like file structure, scoped prompts, version control, defect isolation, and knowing when to use lightweight models versus premium reasoning tools.

I’m currently refining a workflow where I build and test locally, use AI agents carefully for targeted tasks, push through GitHub, and then deploy through platforms like Replit. It’s been a huge learning experience, especially understanding how quickly compute costs and token usage can scale if you’re not disciplined.

I’m also about to upgrade my Replit setup later today for active project/client work, so if referrals work for existing account upgrades feel free to send one my way. I’d rather another builder get the credit than let it go unused. Either way I’m moving forward and looking forward to learning from the community and seeing what everyone else is building.
