IZIOS update: soft launch + first live orders
Quick update since a few of you have been following the public build.
We’ve quietly moved IZIOS into a soft-launch phase over the past couple of days and have now taken our first real orders end-to-end (including BNPL via Affirm).
This included:
• Live inventory sourcing
• Real payment intents (Stripe + Affirm)
• Order hydration → fulfillment → shipping workflow
• Manual review paths for edge cases
We did hit one real-world bug around checkout metadata size limits that only surfaced under actual payment traffic (Stripe metadata truncation → partial order hydration). That’s now fixed with flatter metadata + validation flags, and the system handled it without losing funds or orders.
Early traffic has been a mix of bots/scrapers and very high-intent comparison shoppers (certificate-level price checks), which is exactly the behavior we expected at this stage.
We’re keeping the launch intentionally quiet while we:
• Validate order flow under real load
• Tune customer service + fulfillment pacing
• Watch conversion by *intent source*, not aggregate traffic
No marketing push yet just making sure the plumbing holds before scaling.
Appreciate everyone who gave feedback earlier in the build. Happy to share more specifics once we’ve got a few more weeks of real data.
