I just noticed Turbo Mode is gone from my Core plan and restricted to the new “Pro” tier.
Why is this being taken away from loyal Core users? I was more than willing to pay for Core, but I can’t justify a major price hike just to get my speed back.
What about the people who bought a year of replit Core Subscription? They now get $20 credits instead of $25?
It feels like we’re being penalized for committing to the platform early.
the difference between ‘Power Mode’ and ‘Turbo Mode’ feels intentionally vague. Without technical benchmarks or clear definitions, these just look like fancy labels used to justify gating performance. If I’m being asked to pay more e.g. for ‘Turbo,’ I deserve to know exactly what the compute difference is compared to the ‘Power’ I already had.
Turbo mode is not gone from core unless I’m missing something? I have both, but I’m not seeing it missing on core. It’s just in the agent modes.
Very interesting re naming convention… I feel like it’s pretty straightforward? Power mode seems like it’s more powerful, turbo mode seems faster, economy mode sounds like it’s more cost efficient?

@EthanTorbenson It’s a standard ‘feature creep’ strategy. Take what used to be a standard premium feature, relabel it, and move it to a higher tier.
I wouldn’t be surprised if “Power Mode” is next on the chopping block for Core users once the transition period ends.
So you can’t click on “Lite” mode?
Lite mode is not Turbo Mode…
