Hey everyone,
I recently built a simple, static web app called FREE Map Widget, designed to help website owners generate customizable, interactive USA state maps with just a few clicks. It started as a side project, but I realized it could be useful for others needing a quick, no-code way to embed an interactive map on their sites.
What It Does:
Static, Fast, and Lightweight – No servers, no dependencies, just a simple HTML embed.
Customizable Interactive Map – Generate an embeddable USA map with clickable states.
State Linking – Add custom URLs for each state (great for directories, businesses, and blogs).
Full Customization – Adjust colors, fonts, and hover effects to match your branding.
Mobile-Responsive – The map scales automatically for all screen sizes.
One-Click Code Generation – No coding required—customize, copy, and paste.
Completely Free – No sign-ups, no subscriptions—just a free, useful tool.
Why I’m Posting Here:
I’d love to get some honest feedback from fellow developers! If you run a website that could benefit from a state-based navigation system, I’d love to know:
Would this be useful for you?
Any features you’d like to see added?
Any thoughts on the UI/UX or overall experience?
Check it out here: https://freemapwidget.com
Excited to hear what you all think—whether it’s about the concept, execution, or any improvements you’d suggest!

Hi Adrian, nice to meet you. This seems like a cool widget but as a designer/developer don’t see a use for it at the moment.
I did notice you have built/launched a couple of other paid tools/apps and am wondering how those are doing? Did you use Replit to build those apps too?
Hi,
Yes, I’ve launched a few other apps. I used Replit and Cursor along with Claude for development, hosted on Replit as well as other services, and integrated tools like Supabase and Stripe.
So far, growth has been slow, but I haven’t done much marketing (which I know I should). I have a mix of free users, a few paid subscribers, and some testers (mostly friends). That said, I’ve noticed an uptick in visitors and registrations over the past few days, so things might be starting to pick up.
For my landscape design app https://redesaign.com/, I have big plans, including expanding into interior and exterior design and even AI-powered sky replacement for more realistic renders.
Thanks for your interest! Are you using Replit for any of your projects?
Yes, I’m using Replit, I’ve tried out several others but Replit was the only one that had it all with the ability to launch quickly.
What AI model do you use for the landscape design app? I checked out YT video etc, I’ve been gardening a long time and thought it was interesting.
I just did a soft launch of a wellness/diet app called; https://app.aiCalCount.com and I launched a gallery for my art here: https://gallery.vlane.art – working on expanding this to a SAAS but not in a rush because most artists don’t have money. LOL
I use Flux-Lora with inpainting.
Your apps’ designs look stunning - I see you’re into dark mode. How do you pick color themes? And, what style libraries do you use?
