New here, and first topic I am going to post, I have searched around and can’t find something related, although this may be multiple bugs with one way to spot them. I also have been unable to find a way to ask replit direct about this, so I am going to put it out here, and see if this is a me problem, or if others have seen something similar.
The below seems to make me think overall that replit need to retrain their agent on their own interface.
How I got here:
I am new, and there are a few things the agent tells me I have to do that I don’t understand or can’t make sense of how to do it, so I have had to ask the agent over and over to explain to me what I need to do to accomplish said tasks. When it gives me a step by step how to do it, and I am specifically talking about things that are in the replit interface, often the Replit agent seems to have not seen the current layout or doesn’t know details as to how or what the Replit interface does and where it does these things. This is exponentially worse on the mobile app, but it also shows up on web.
simplest example:
What I now know as “republishing” the first time I needed to do this I had to spend $9 in asking clarification questions to figure out what I needed to do. Apparently, the pane that is called “Publishing” in the past was called “deployments”, I didn’t know it’s history so I was left looking for something that didn’t exist. After too much time clicking around, searching for anything that could make sense, I found the button that said republish, and asked if this was right, the agent basically replied, yes, it’s moved and went on with it’s task like I should have known that.
this is the most basic problem it causes; I still have unresolved problems I’m chasing I think that are related to this I am going to post about otherwise, but this is a good example that shows how the replit agent not knowing about how replit works is causing me problems.
Is this a bug? am I skirting what the bug is? insight would be appreciated.
