When using the agent I often use the element selector to help direct the agent to the specific element under discussion. Many of my ui requests involve moving elements around the screen eg can you put this text field, in that div. Currently I can either select elements, or tell the agent where I want them, but not both. Having multiple (at least 2) input elements would be useful. Additionally if it would be possible for the editor to have a toggle to show the element id in addition to the type would also be really useful
This will be great improvements if replit developer add this!!!
Base 44 has recently released this SPLIT SCREEN!!!
’’This might sound like a feature for technical users only - but it’s really not. With the new split view (Preview + Code Editor side by side), you can select elements directly from the screen, see exactly where they live in the code, and change them there.’’
I know Replit has ‘‘select elements’’ (Update visual editing tools).
But this is working only for certain app types (Project type - Visual editing tools are more prominent for certain project types (like static sites or React apps with their component builder).
So yes, Replit could enhance this opportunity to allow us to select any element in any type of stack code and see in split screen code behind for quickly updating text or colors, etc. I really like base64 split solution!
