Wireguard profile generator

As a way of helping our Datalockit VPN mini-routers, I put together a free Wireguard profile generator. Not sure this will help our friends in Florida, as Cloudflare still shows you as being in Florida. It will however prevent snooping by ISPs. You don’t need the router to use it on individual PC or Androids, the usual vanilla Wireguard client is fine. Perhaps someone in the south can let me know if it at all helps by-pass newly ratified NSFW censorship down there. https://wg-cloud.replit.app/

Also, need to know what kind of logging Replit does for deployed sites.

can u explain whats that about. it sounds for interesting. about improving security. still i miss how i use it and what it does. and i am in germany, i have a deco 5G sim router, and on that by wifi my other devices.

always interesting what you guys develop. Keep going.

With firmware version 1.2.0, the Deco X50-5G now supports VPN server/client functionality, including the WireGuard protocol. So using the profile generator you can have a free basic VPN (1st hop only - to Cloudflare). You won’t have control of your exit node, like with fancier VPNs, but hey, its free. And 1st hop is good enough many people.

Also, to be clear: when people hear “free” they often wrongly assume they “are the product”. With Cloudflare, I honestly don’t believe that to be the case (unlike with same major VPN brands I could name). They recently got booted out of India for not cooperating tracking VPN users. That’s some serious street-cred in my book.

awesome… i have the TP-Link Deco X50-5G

last time i looked it did not support VPN server

one hop means i can not choose what country… that would be great.

again… awesome job and thanks for checking into my specific model… that i respect as extra work from you… thanks

btw. i looked right now for an update
i found: Deco X50-5G(EU)_V2_1.0.0 Build 20240813

on Download für Deco X50-5G | TP-Link Deutschland
i am in germany, EU, does it make a difference.
And you say 1.2.0 while it shows me 2.1 or just a number mix?

right now i have a firmware 1.1.7 Build 20240809…

or do u mean hardware version 1.2 as i see thats also a possibility as there seems a 1.2 and 2.0 model

and last not least… right now i went into my deco app
clicked on UPDATE… and it says: Your Deco Home Wifi is currently up to date. enjoy!

with version 1.17 Build 20240809 Rel. 18610

Lol. now i am out.

I checked their site, and it says "Model and hardware version availability varies by region. " so, yes, being in Germany could make a difference to what options you have. Hopefully not to what firmware upgrades you can get, but I don’t know that for sure. Having said that, my understanding is that starting with firmware v1.2, Wireguard client is supported (you need to use/setup WG client, not server). Since I don’t have one myself, I can’t actually test or really walk you through it. If it were a Datalockit router, I could, but I understand you want to make the Deco work, which is totally understandable and I think you can. Good luck, and let us know how it goes.

This might help. https://community.tp-link.com/en/home/forum/topic/715880

I do see they have different HW versions. From the bottom label, what does yours say? What exact model do you have?

I found this TP-Link post with a download link. Good luck! https://community.tp-link.com/en/home/forum/topic/727392
