Rollbacks are freaking useless

Why is it whenever I use your rollback it Breaks my database, db schema, and the entire app. Is there a video someone can share for me to be able to rollback in peace.

I have to launch in 24hours and it broke for Christ sake.

I feel replit is doing this intentionally. To make you use more credits fixing bugs. The more you stay on the app fixing bugs the more money they get.

I don’t get why the rollback doesnt rollback every single code in the system.

It deliberatesly rollsback some code and leaves the others. To intentionally break the app. I dont know which is cheaper again hiring a dev or using replit

This is bullshit!
They can fix this issue today, in less than a minute but they won’t. All they have to do is make the rollbacks for 100% of the entire app both db include or give the option to exclude db.

Is there a video someone can share for me to be able to rollback in peace.

Don’t panic. Usually looks worse than it is.

Maybe post more context when asking for help? Paste some errors?

Relax, man. Woooosaaaahhhhh

Replit is on the edge of changing what is possible. These are difficult problems: what is the agent supposed to do if someone asks it to do something that literally doesn’t make sense? What does it do if the user asks them to refactor the entire application when the app is 3x bigger than the leading AI models context window?

I totally feel your frustration, and, I think it’s important to contextualiza that databases can become extremely complicated if they aren’t carefully managed. People get paid hundreds of thousands of dollars to organize just the schema of databases. Replit is attempting to handle full stack software development, which is an insanely difficult problem.

My thought process is that there is a learning curve, and some problems either require some serious perseverance to overcome, or you learn that the clarity for your project was lacking earlier in the build process, so you need to restart.

It’s like building a house sometimes. If you don’t have a good solid foundation, you’ll run into issues down the road even if at the start It seems to be fine.

My two cents fwiw!

It’s happening to me as well plenty of useless interactions and of course each iteration cost money . I think replit should do a cheaper agent or make sure less charges applied
