Replit management’s decision to remove the Assistant and constantly modify the Agent without consulting users is highly concerning. Why are core features being changed unilaterally, and are other users equally frustrated by this lack of transparency and community input?
To be fair, they do consult users. Not always, but most of the time.
And they also have all the usage data, cost data, support tickets, etc. to make a pretty informed decision for the ‘greater good.’
But as with anything with high adoption, any change is likely to negatively affect some portion of the base.
I’m not saying they’re perfect, but I think if you zoom out and look at the product from inception to today, it’s become vastly more approachable, usable and effective for the majority of users.
