Looking for styling tips

I have a simple app built, similar to a fantasy football type app. It is using react and tailwind, and is just simple right now with no styling. I asked the agent to "style the background like this app “example.com” " and that was like a football betting app. But it totally got lost in loops and messed alot of things up. looking for tips on how to have the agent/assistant (agent better for this?) only change the styling and not mess with any functionality. Like a football themed background, change the button formats from the standard one, maybe sharpen the edges, etc. Would you break this up into pieces? Would you ask it to mimic something on the web or if i add a picture? any/all tips welcome. thanks
