After feeling rock bottom when Agent 3 came out, to the updates it’s made, I’m super happy with how my app is coming along. I think beyond that, I was a little technical before (deep understanding of APIs, that was about it though since I’m ex-Sales), but I love how much I’ve learned through the process of developing with Agent. I’m super appreciative of not only the developing it does, but there are a lot of things you can learn in the process. It’s crazy to think how much faster you can learn than in a classroom setting by just working through building something with Agent.
I’ve learned a ton about unit testing, user testing, scanning for vulnerabilities, CI/CD, etc. and feel like I’ve fit 3 years of entry level development into 6-months. I’m working through a few of the last security vulnerabilities and I just loved the analogies Agent gives me to dumb it down to a level it’s incredibly easy to understand (like the door/doorbell one below).
The only feedback I’d have is to push users into more testing, scanning for vulnerabilities, etc. vs. pushing them to go live. I’ve been getting more and more frequent deploy prompts to push me to publish, but as a vibe coder, we may not know that these are critical steps prior to deploying. Overall though, super happy with how things are turning out!
