Automated browser-based testing: Agent 3 vs Claude Code

I see on X how people raving about Claude Code, specifically about how it can do automated browser-based testing for you. my experience with Replit Agent browser testing a while back was not good. it’s really slow and consumes too many credits.

Have you guys been using the Agent browser-based testing and had success with it? If both platforms are using Claude why isn’t the Replit’s testing feature as good as Claude Code’s?

The algo is tricking you into thinking Claude Code is somehow superior.

Lol. That’s what I’m trying to understand, besides Claude Code using a more updated Claude Opus model, what am I missing. Especially on the testing side, is their automated testing that much better. I guess I can try it out myself.

Replit uses Opus when necessary.

Matt Palmer recently dropped a lot of Replit / Claude Code crossover info on X. Also they put out this video. I’ve been using both in tandem without issue for a while. Here’s the video from the Replit team:

X has gone nuts for Claude Code - my feed is swamped with the stuff. It feels like it’s the only AI coding tool on the planet and is starting to annoy me.

Sure, my understanding is it is very good. But I for one am not going to play the game. Replit :100: for me. Mixing them both seems a tad pointless and is adding complexity where it isn’t needed.

Also, $200 per month!!?? Otherwise you are capped on usage like it is ChatGPT back in the early days of only having 20 questions and then waiting 5 hours like a sad little puppy waiting for its next treat!!

I will place a tiny bet here today that Claude Code is peaking, and in the next 6 months others will catchup and overtake - both in capability, and noise on X.

nice overview. thanks for sharing!
