Is anyone else struggling with the bottleneck of being forced to approve each task before the next tasks can begin? Can we disable or work outside of the new task mode?
Yesterday, briefly, I save a control to accept agent changes automatically. Now, that is gone.
I went from creating distributed backlogs in markdown that could run for hours uninterrupted to babysitting each task and it’s killing my productivity.
I went from spending around $500/day, getting hundreds of tasks done… to getting tens of tasks done.

With Agent 3 these tasks would have been done when I woke up.
Now, I’m waiting for each task to complete so I can “click next” in-between everything involved getting my kids ready for school.
I used to run a massive job at the end of each day to refactor my code keep the repo tidy. It would run for an hour or two with zero issues. I would wake up with a pristine repo and was able to focus on my family.
Now, I don’t see how this is possible with Agent 4.
There more I’m forced too click approve, there angrier I’m getting.
The implications here are devistating for me personally and for my startup.
All of our assumptions were based on our current trajectory… This easily slows us down by 70%.
To add insult to injury, Agent 4 makes so many mistakes that Agent 3 never did.
So… Now it takes more time to fix the slower agent. Compounding the issue.
In an attempt to move this glacial block of tasks forward, I asked Agent 4 to consolidate all tasks into one mega task with the hopes it would behave more like Agent 3.
No such luck.
Next time… Phase the roll out. Let people opt in to future agent releases so you can identify and solve issues with users who are willing to be test subjects.
I’m holding on to hope that this is just a massively failed roll out and Replit will stabilize. With that said, I need to pause all work because of the danger to the stability of my projects.
This costs those of us who rely on Replit a lot of money. I gladly spend about $500/day on credits.
I’m about to put all of that time and effort behind testing alternatives. I need a backup plan. I’d never have gone down this path if the rollout was clean.
