When using the selector to edit the properties of items on the page it would be great if you could also edit the text property - especially now that we have design mode I’m creating more and more content based sites and I would like the ability to update text manually rather than having to explain to the agent where and how etc.
Have you noticed sometimes certain types of text seems to be more editable than others? Wondering if it was just me. I noticed Headers seem to work pretty well and some text boxes, but others not.
Likely because headers gives agent more context
You just have to get stupid with the amount of context you give it about the location/page etc.
But you’re not wrong.
Word processing style editing of text is an obvious feature gap that should be addressed.
Occasionally when I need to make some wholesale text changes, I’ll find the script and edit it directly - the changes are faster than typing a prompt to ask agent to do it for me.
One issue with this though that you must be aware of (this is a bug which I’ve reported, but until fixed, be careful): your changes will be saved, but sometimes if the the agent then wants to make further changes, it will open an old cached version - and so your edits are lost.
100%. I find this so tough at the moment, especially since I have my company’s blog running on this now.
The tough part for me with text is also, I literally feed it a Word document for all the on-page text, and it replaces my hyperlinks with different URLs, then I have to go back and tell it all the URLs it needs to revert back to along with all the text it needs to hyperlink. Big gap at the moment.
