# Replit Student Discount

**Issue:** Student discount (50% off Core, $10/month) not applying at checkout despite “.EDU VERIFIED: Yes” status on the student dashboard.

## Summary of the problem

1. Student verification shows as confirmed on the account dashboard.
2. Subscribing through the recommended replit.edu/students page still shows the full $20/month price, tried multiple times.
3. The support contact form requires an active paid subscription to submit a request — but getting an active subscription at the correct (student) price is the exact issue being reported, creating a closed loop.
4. The support agent handling free-tier accounts is AI-based and has confirmed it cannot manually apply the discount or escalate further.
